Currency Trader

Barclays Global Investors is seeking a Currency Trader.

 

•Be able to work well under pressure (of market volatility, people, time, etc.) and make quick decisions that may involve difficult trade-offs
•Be articulate and communicating effectively with the desk, its internal clients/partners, and external counter parties
•Be sensitive about best execution and selecting counter parties objectively and quantitatively
•Be quantitative in analyzing pre-trade expectation and post-trade performance and understanding the economic implications of various trading avenues, market mechanisms, implementation shortfall, transaction costs, and tracking error
•Be friendly, easy to work with, a team player working well with people and fellow traders, and always ready to help out the team when situation arises

Qualifications

•A minimum of two years of relevant industry experience in a demanding environment
•BA/BS or higher degree in a quantitative discipline
