GUI for Quantlib

FN Alavi
Hi Folks,

We are presently under contract to develop a GUI for Quantlib. We are aiming for functionality similar to Visual Options Analyzer (see www.voptions.com for some cool screenshots).

I was wondering if anyone has attempted anything similar? The main problem we are experiencing is that the examples directory in the standard QL distro is very limited. It would be really useful to have documentation or other examples detailing the proper use of all the main classes, so that we can concentrate only on the GUI design, and simply interface it with QL.

Any suggestions would be greatly welcomed.

Thanks,

Alavi

Cool indeed. What would the scope of your contract be? Will you develop
it for your customer only, or would it be available (commercially or
otherwise?)

Not that I now of. Similar efforts (such as the one from QuantTools)
used Excel as the GUI.

You can find a lot more usage examples in the test suite. In particular,
most options are tested there, which might help you see how they're
used.

Hope this helps,
