Installing QuantLibXL forces Excel AutoCalc to ON

newbie73
After installing QuantLibXL, I noticed Excel's AutoRecalculate feature is always set to ON.  This is true even after uninstalling the QuantLibXL.

This should be changed so as not to disrupt current system configurations.  It's certainly been a PITA during testing over on my end. :)

With regard to the setting Calculation = Manual/Automatic...
The first time you open a workbook in a given instance of
Excel, the Calculation mode is set to whatever value was
associated with that workbook when last it was saved.  This
value for the Calculation mode persists for the remainder of
the Excel session unless it is manually changed in the menu.
For more detail, see the link below:

Installing/uninstalling QuantLibXL has no impact on this
behavior.  To resolve the issue, you should identify the first
workbook that is opened (whether by hand or by some
initialization routine) when Excel is started, and determine
the calculation mode associated with that workbook.

Regards,
Eric

let me add to Eric's note that the QLXL VBA policy is that wherever
the calculation is switched to Manual it is then later switched back
to its original state, whatever it was. Of course there might be
undetected policy-breach waiting for a fix...
