Be careful if you have Microsoft Office 2003 as its
service pack 3 blocks QuantLibXL from returning
correct results to Excel. The update installed itself
on my computer at work and spreadsheets using
QuantLibXL for calculations now return 0 for all
computations. We had to reinstall Office 2003 with
service pack 2 to make it work again.
Here is a temporary workaround: copy EXCEL.EXE from a
SP2 version of Excel over the SP3 EXCEL.EXE in the
Office directory - you will regain QuantLibXL
functionality.
I haven't isolated this problem to a particular "fix"
as SP3 does 21 hotfixes to EXCEL.EXE.
If anyone knows specifically a registry fix for this
or a better workaround, please email me at
