New to QL -- explanation of quantlib-test-suite output

Thomas Maloney
Hi,

I am new to QuantLib, having installed the following from Synaptic Package Manager in Ubuntu 10.04:

libboost-test-dev (1.40.0.1)
libboost-test1.40-dev (1.40.0-4ubuntu4)
libboost-test1.40.0 (1.40.0-4ubuntu4)
libboost1.40-dev (1.40.0-4ubuntu4)
libquantlib-0.9.9 (0.9.9-2)
libquantlib0-dev (0.9.9-2)
quantlib-examples (0.9.9-2)
quantlib-python (0.9.9-1)
quantlib-refman-html (0.9.9-1)

In the Terminal I execute quantlib-test-suite and I receive the follow output

Running 444 test cases...
unknown location(0): fatal error in "QuantLib::detail::quantlib_test_case(&CreditDefaultSwapTest::testImpliedHazardRate)": std::exception: negative time (-0.00547945) given
utilities.hpp(78): last checkpoint

Tests completed in 10 m 13 s

*** 1 failure detected in test suite "Master Test Suite"

Could someone let me know if this is a known issue, or an error in the way I installed QuantLib?

Thanks and happy holidays,
Thomas

Luigi Ballabio
It might have to do with running the tests on a holiday.  It has been
fixed a while ago, but you're still using version 0.9.9 which goes
some way back...
