The last official release of Boost (1.34.x) doesn't support Visual
Studio 2008 yet.
That's why QuantLib does not compile with Visual Studio 2008.
Next Boost release will support VS2008, and so will QuantLib.
If you cannot wait there is some hacking to be done, search
quantlib-dev archives for more info.
