Re: Test 0.3.14 QuantLibXL tarballs

Wilkie Lai
Hi all,
First the good news.  I have tried downloading the pre-release and everything seems to build without any problem.  In around 1/2 hour I already have QuantLibXL-vc80-mt-s-0_3_14.xll loaded into my Excel.
Now the bad news.  It seems that a lot of the curve related functions are broken.  Just a quick peek at the included examples and my own test workbooks has shown the following functions not working:
1.) All the ratehelpers
2.) qlSchedule
3.) Interpolation related functions (eg qlInterpolate etc.)

Eric, can you please share what is the expected release date for 0.3.14 final?

Best regards,
Wilkie

Are you sure?  I just double checked and it looks OK:

- I download
    http://quantlib.org/prerelease/QuantLibXL-src-0.3.14.exe
  (2,904,744 bytes)
- I install the contents to c:\test\QuantLibXL
- and I see the file at
    C:\test\QuantLibXL\qlxl\QuantLibXL_vc8.vcproj

How does that work for you?

Thanks,
Eric

Many thanks for confirming that.

I think that they aren't broken, but that in some cases their
signatures have changed and the example workbooks haven't been updated
accordingly.  Should be fixed in the next tarball (which will be a
candidate for the final release), thanks for pointing this out.

Looks like we're aiming for next week.
