Research Analyst Barclays Global Investors’ North American Active Equity
group is seeking a Research Analyst to support management of the US Active
Equity Funds as well as research for the Responsibilities ·
Develop strong understanding of the active
equity model and how it applies to portfolios ·
Build a deep understanding of each
component of the model in order to make contributions across the signal
spectrum ·
Perform research that improves the alpha forecasting
models for US equities ·
Build excellent working
relationships with other teams involved in the portfolio management and
research process including the implementation research team, technology team ·
Conduct investment process design, portfolio
analysis, and performance attribution ·
Assist in research agenda,
including: construction and backtesting of new signals, portfolio level
backtesting, data aggregation and incorporating new t-cost and risk models Qualifications ·
Graduate degree and/or a CFA designation
with strong quantitative skills ·
Good understanding of accounting
standards ·
Prefer relevant experience in the
investment management industry ·
Programming skills: working
knowledge of statistical packages such as SAS or SPlus ·
