Sourceforge alternatives?

Luigi Ballabio

Hi all,
if you're reading tech news, you might have learned that Sourceforge has started to employ some pretty shady practices of late (see e.g. <http://goo.gl/LTSze1>).  I've been thinking about moving away from them in the medium term.  The code repository is already on GitHub, and the web page and the released files can probably be moved there without much of a disruption.

The difficult one to move would be the mailing list. We have a couple of mirrors on Nabble and Gmane, but I'd prefer keeping the email interface. Google Groups would work, but it would require all of you to re-subscribe (and the Gmane and Nabble mirrors would break, and I'm not sure that the archives could be imported).

Does anybody know of any suitable alternative?

Thanks,
    Luigi
