build quantlib with mingw on window 2k

adisabat

Dear Guowen

yes I did it just 3/4 weeks ago.

I have installed both boost 1_33_1 and QuantLib 0.3.14 on my windows XP laptop. (using MinGW )

Refering the boost I have followed the doc on boost website
before I built boost-jam since I have built library Boost library using boost-jam tools.
( look my command line: c:/mingw/temp/boost-jam-3.1.13/bin.ntx86/bjam.exe "-sTOOLS=gcc" install , under boost library directory)

Worked very well without any error.

Since I got some problem to build the QT library,
I typed :

"./configure --with-boost-include XXXXX" ,
"make"
"make install"

I got some problem during "make install" :a lot installation paths were wrong . By hand I should change the paths for every name in Makefile.

Then I typed "make install" and it worked right.

NB I did the some work on Solaris 8, and Linux (slackware)
without any problem.

At the moment I can not find time to begin using it, very busy at work.

I hope my experiences could help your activities.

Regards
Antonio
