Hi,
This is not a quantlib question, but my internet search didn't turn up much and I feel this community is more likely to know an answer. My apologies if this is inappropriate. I am searching for a package for real time display of financial data, e.g. the tick price data plotted as it comes in. So far most references I've found point to matplotlib, but it is not clear whether it has real time plotting capabilities. We are evaluating CQG as a commercial alternative, but would very much like to go with an open source solution. Does anyone have an opinion on this? Another biased opinion... check out Quantlab at www.algorithmica.se. It is not open source
but is designed for realtime and historical calculations including realtime
tickdata graphs.

Flash/FLEX is the good thing to use. Check how google and yahoo use it for their financial page.
