static runtime and dynamic runtime

Kim Kuen Tang

Hi all,

i finished compiling QLXL with boost 1.46.1 and noticed that the
produced add-in only works when created with static runtime, at least on
my personal machine.

Is this behaviour intended?

Regards,

Kim

I can't immediately verify your results because I don't have a copy of
boost 1.46.1 to hand.  But I doubt that the boost version is the cause
of the problem.  You say you get the problem on your personal machine
- are you building and running the XLL on the same machine?  When it
goes wrong, what error message do you get?  What does depends.exe tell
you?  If you build it with a different version of boost, does it work?

Please see http://quantlib.org/quantlibxl/faq.html#faq_item_startup.

Regards,
Eric
