0.3.7 branch

Hi all,
        I've just created a branch for release 0.3.7, to be announced  
sometime this month. Bug fixes (and only bug-fixes) should be committed  
on that branch, which has tag "R000307f0-branch". Tarballs will be soon  
available for our fearless packagers.
