Guido,
    it looks like the dynamic linker is not able to find the library.
The steps to configure it are:
- edit /etc/ld.so.conf and add /usr/local/lib on a new line;
- run "sudo ldconfig" to reconfigure the linker.
After this, you should be able to import the module correctly.
