| You'll need a version control system to collaborate. If you're not
| scared by git, github might be the one with least setup effort--and
| will also give you the storage for the files.
Fully seconded re the collaboration. Works great for code, works great for
Latex too.
I am still partial to SVN and really like Google Code. But yes, all the kids
these days (and even some of the elder statesmen like Luigi :) like github.
But it is clearly not the only game in town. Sourceforge is still there too
and trying to catch up.
