Yes---we're still hosted on Sourceforge, after all :)
But it has a few more hurdles to setup a project, while github (and
bitbucket) are instantaneous.
Also, I'm not sure that Sourceforge will accept the project if you
choose a Creative Commons license for it (which might be a sensible
choice for a book, as opposed to a library.) I seem to remember that
Nando tried it and got it rejected.
