SP3 and quantlib.

a akpitidis
Hi,

SP3 landed on my desk few hours ago and ... suprise suprise ...  some new bugs are getting out of the pack.

I am having the same problem as on the post on 5th of Oct 2007.

Does anyone know for any MS patch that fixes this issue?
My theory is that SP3 doesn't process correctly doubles returned by pointer ( method "E" for those that know the Excel C API).

so if I got it right you mean that QuantLibXL doesn't work with Excel
2003 SP3? Right?

Many thanks for pointing this out.  As you mention the issue was raised
previously, I haven't yet followed it up, if possible I'll get this fixed
for the next release, I'll keep you posted.

Regards,
Eric

Today I got a patch from MS that fixes the problem.
However, I don't know when the official patch will be released.

I was wandering if it is QuantLibXL only to have problems with Excel
2003 SP3, or other addins too. Anyone?

Same problem here - QuantLibXL does not work with Excel 2003 SP3
(after it was fine with SP2). Having a hotfix to restore functionality would really help :)

I was wondering whether the patch you have from MS actually has a
number or designator? Or is there a bug description to refer to?

Using either one, I can ask MS for the patch to get me going again.

Any info appreciated!

Thx,

 Hans
