Slight mod to allow QLXL to run on 64 bit versions

Nicholas Manganaro-2
Eric,
I am trying out Excel 2016, 64 bit version.

I just finished installing 64 bit Python 2.7.9, building 64 bit versions of
Boost 1.57 and QLXL 1.6.0 RC from May 2, 2015.
I opened up the new Excel, added the QuantLib .xll and the framework .xla to
the add-in options list, and then closed and reopened Excel.

I got the error message in the attached docx, poked around and made a very
modest modification to the Windows.bas module from Utilities.xla to allow
QLXL to run in 64 bit mode. I have attached the modified module (as a txt
file) for your consideration.

-Nick

Re: Slight mod to allow QLXL to run on 64 bit versions

Eric Ehlers-3
Hi Nicholas,

This is great, thank you very much.

I always wonder whether anyone ever uses the VBA Framework.

I think to run it in 64-bit you would also need to make a change to
Loader.xls, to reflect the name of the XLL?

The VBA framework shipped with QuantLibXL version 1.4 but not 1.5.  I
hope it will be included in 1.6.  When I package that release, I will
incorporate your change and provide you with a prerelease build to test.

Kind Regards,
Eric
