Re: Wiki

P Nelnik
To create an account in the wiki, go to http://quantlib.referata.com/wiki/Quantlib_Wiki
click on one of the two links in the top-right of the window: Log in / create account
or if you want to use an existing Google, AOL, Yahoo account click on:   Log in with OpenID

Account creation ( and editing ) does not go through an approval process.
Though if we do have trouble makers we can block accounts and IP addresses from editing.

Here's an example of how the semantic data might come in useful:

Suppose we had one page for each XL addin function, each page could be tagged witth the following:
Release Status:   Deprecated, Released, Beta_Version
Category:            Utility, Interest Rate, Equity, Credit, FX

We could then have a page which listed all Released functions that deal with FX and we could have a summary of each.
That page would be a query result and would be automatically updated when the content of the pages it uses are changed.

Cheers
Philip

Yeah, I didn't see the calculus exercises. Anyways, I've added an example page for QL_REQUIRE. One can use the

<source lang="cpp">
// put your C++ code in here

command to include C++ code. As for the semantic stuff. I don't really see what that is/how one could use it. Can you
come up with some example? I'd like to have an account. Please e-mail me what I need to do.

Sorry to hear about that.

I think you may have failed a little maths test!

If you want to edit without logging in, after you click save, you'll see the line:

/To edit this page, please solve the simple sum below and enter the answer in the box (more info <http://quantlib.referata.com/wiki/Special:Captcha/help>): /

/26 - 10 = /

Or some similar captcha. I guess you may not have seen it.

Please do try again. No administrator approval is required before changes go live.

We have the little captcha to prevent automated editing by a bot.

If you don't log in you CAN still make changes,
on the other hand you can also use an 'open-ID', i.e. use on of you existing accounts on google, yahoo, aol, etc
or indeed you can just create an account on the wiki.

If you'd like administrator permissions please ask me.

The edit format is 'wiki-text', see: http://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Help:Wikitext_examples

Note the wiki is a sematic wiki, which means that it can contain structured data, which can be edited with forms
and pages can contain results of queries.

No, because it's part of the documentation like the other
       stuff on that
page.  But we can leave it in the sidebar if you think it will
       draw
       people to it.

Re: Wiki

Dimathematician
I think we should also report the QuantLib version each single wike
entry corresponds to. Otherwise this
may become hard to manage after a while. Yes?

Re: Wiki

P Nelnik
Two optional tags that could be applied to wiki articles are:
1: first version when the feature became available
&   2: version when the feature was removed, (for most articles this won't be set).
